Roofing has been part of who we are for a long time. The original Vacinek’s was founded in 1938 by Louis J. “Louie” Vacinek, who had previously worked for Mosher Heating. Known then as Vacinek Heating, the business ran from Louie’s home at 499 Franklin Street in Springville, New York, with his wife Pat handling the books. After several successful years, Louie added roofing and the company became Vacinek Heating & Roofing.
Through the decades, the business passed through family hands, from Louie’s nephew John McCarthy to grandniece Deb Schweickert and great-grandnephew Paul Davies, before Dave Filighera and family took ownership in 2011 and relocated the office to 8038 Boston State Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075.
